Lets talk Inspiration

Do you live a life of inspiration? Simply put........What inspires you? Does change inspire you? Does creativity inspire you? Do new ideas that challenge you to think in a new way inspire you? Do certain people inspire you? How do you live your life? Do you need purpose, creativity, new design, new inventions, something fresh to inspire you? Some people NEED inspiration and creativity to live their lives with purpose and possibly adventure, others, well, lets just say they probably do not care much that is why they tend to be boring folks!

So if we want inspiration, where does inspiration come from? Where does wisdom come from? Where does Truth come from? Where does the greatest intelligence and design come from? Where does mans ingenuity come from? How does man create, design, and engineer things that are unique, yet practical? Where does man get this creative genius? I guess it depends on what your believe about  this world, where you came from, and where you are going including when you die.

If a person believes they are made in the image of God, then they will respond likewise. They will have a hunger and thirst for the Truth, they will desire intelligent things because they believe in intelligent design. They will look for creative solutions to their problems and will look to the One who solves those problems. They will have a desire to reach their potential, even though they may be afraid to take a step towards that goal, because they know the One who is holding their hand and guiding them through it all. They will have a desire to constantly learn new things like a perpetual student in a class room. They will also see others as made in the image of God and will more than likely desire that they will come to know Jesus Christ so that He can bring out their potential and redirect their energies towards that goal.

Sometimes I must ask myself these very questions........am I living a life of purpose and inspiration?
In the bleak periods of life, may we draw inspiration........like the first flower bloom in the dead of winter.

QUESTIONS FOR LIFE

Has life become stagnant and dull?
Have you lost that anticipated direction?
Do you feel as though you have no purpose?
I think its time to do some reflection.

Take a good look at your life.
Now tell me what you see.......
Do you see darkness and confusion
or plenty of joy because you are free!

Now take a good look at your heart......
What is your greatest desire?
Are you feeding your sin and selfishness
or is Jesus lighting your fire?

Jesus said, "where your treasure is
that is where your heart will be.
If you give Christ complete control
you will be amazed at what you see.

God wants to break your will,
your stubborness and pride.
So readily respond in obedience
and He will help you lay it aside.

For God alone knows your potential
and in you, the best He will create.
All of your sin and selfish ambition
through a process, He begins to negate.

What's amazing about God?
He doesn't want to change your personality,
He wants to redirect your energies
And this is His responsibility.

Rest in the Master's hands,
let Him guide and be your teacher
Don't be anxious, He'll show you
by bringing out the greatest feature.

And that is Himself of course
So full of Wisdom, Truth and Love.
Which will open a path of blessing
sent eagerly from His hand above.

His plan is to bless you
more than can imagine,
even in those trying circumstances,
His love you can not fathom.

So please don't waste your time,
in idleness and foolishness.
Because it's sinful and unproductive
and brings much unhappiness.

Rather spend time on your knees
and you will find power and grace
that diminishes the muck,
and shines forth His glorious face!

Disengaging a Critic

Here is an insightful story and should make all think a little more deeply about being overly
critical towards others………..

Budda was well known for his ability to respond to evil with good.

There was a man who knew about his reputation and he traveled miles and miles and
miles to TEST Buddha. When he arrived and stood before Buddha, he verbally abused him
constantly; he insulted him; he challenged him; he did everything he could to offend Buddha.

Buddha was unmoved, he simply turned to the man and said, "May I ask you a question"?
The man responded with, "Well. what"?
Buddha said, "If someone offers you a gift and you decline to accept it, to whom then
does it belong"?
The man said, "Then it belongs to the person who offered it."
Buddha smiled, "That is correct. So if I decline to accept your abuse, does it not then
still belong to you"?
The man was speechless and walked away!

Now I don't believe in Budda and I am not into new age nonsense however there is some wisdom to this and good advice!
